D3 - Constant-Flow Air-Line Respirator, Hood

Synergy® Bubble Hood Respirator

A Type C supplied-air respirator designed to supply respiratory protection in non-IDLH atmospheres, the device can be used with a ``common" air-supply hose that is compatible with other MSA supplied-air respirators.
A quick-disconnect socket directly connects the device to an air-supply hose and corresponding air source, eliminating the need for a control valve.  Inlet pressure is regulated at the air source.  With the ``double-bib" design, the inner bib slips inside the protective garment while the second bib (worn outside the garment), is held in place with a one inch wide nylon belt.
Complete assemblies include hood, muffler assembly (with quick-disconnect socket and plug), approved air-supply hose and support belt.  The Synergy Bubble Hood is available in three sizes and in a choice of bib colors (blue or yellow).

Versa-Hood Respirator

Can be used anywhere a constant-flow air-supplied hood is required.
A relatively simple device, the unit has either a shoulder-length or waist-length Tyvek hood with a wide-vision lens that is protected by a clear, disposable cover.  The hood hose is attached to the hood behind the head and connects to an air line at the unit's PVC support belt.
Air is supplied via 8-300' of 3/8" MSA air hose connected to a plant air source capable of supplying pressures of 10-40 psig, depending on hose length.
The unit has an adjustable suspension system for proper hood positioning.
Users may choose models equipped with or without adjustable air-flow control valves and with either aluminum Snap-Tite or steel Foster quick-disconnect fittings.
   Order air-supply line separately.

Blastfoe II Hood

A constant-flow respirator designed to provide head and upper-body protection against high-velocity abrasives, like shotblast.
The unit consists of a high-impact helmet with outer and inner shells, suspension, inner collar, flow-control valve, hood, hose, wire-screen lens, outer cape and belt.
The helmet and the wearer's upper body are covered with a neoprene-impregnated cloth hood that resists abrasives.
Air is supplied from a compressor via MSA air line hose, which connects to the unit's Snap-Tite fitting.
Users may select Blastfoe II units with control valves rated for 16-20 psig (for use with 15-50' of air line), or 45-60 psig (for use with 25-300' of air line).
   Order air-supply line separately.

Sandblast™ II Hood

A constant-flow respirator designed to provide head protection for sandblasters. The unit consists of a high-impact helmet with outer and inner shells, suspension, collar, flow-control valve, hood, hose, wire-screen lens, outer cape or collar and web belt.
Air is supplied from a compressor via MSA air line, which connects to the unit's Snap-Tite fitting.
Users may select Sandblast II units with control valves rated for 16-20 psig (for use with 15-50' of air line), or 45-60 psig (for use with 25-300' of air line).
The 45-60 psig unit also features a nylon cape that covers the user's upper body.  A replaceable snap-on cover protects the front portion of the cape that receives the most abuse.
   Order air-supply line separately.
