C2 - Gas Mask, Chin-Type

Chin-Type Gas Mask

   Consists of an Ultra Elite or Ultravue full-facepiece and an attached, compact chemical-sorbent canister.  The Chin-Type Gas Mask assembly may be used for escape from contaminant concentrations up to the maximum use limitation of the gas mask (generally 0.5% by volume), provided there is adequate oxygen (19.5% by volume) to support life.
   The replaceable, oval-shaped aluminum canister and facepiece are designed to permit downward head movement.
   The nine chin-type canisters offered by MSA are labeled and color-coded for the type of protection afforded.
